Scots boyband REWIND have released a new single ahead of the Scottish Independence Referendum. In order to mark the historic Independence vote which will decide Scotland’s future, REWIND release their version of the Dougie MacLean 1977 classic “Caledonia”.
An unofficial anthem of Scotland, the song speaks of the draw and power of Caledonia, the name the Romans gave to the land north of Hadrian’s Wall and beyond the limit of their Empire.
Dubbed as Scotland’s only 5 piece boyband, REWIND have injected personality back into pop since exploding onto the music scene. They are James McElvar, Jack Robinson, Kieran Hepburn, JB Balfour and Lewis Irons, hailing from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The band have been performing around the country as well as supporting Little Mix and Connor Maynard, you might have seen them at the opening of Katie’s Bar in Glasgow last year and on-stage at Pride Glasgow.
The REWIND boys told KaleidoScot: “The Scottish people will need to come together again, put their differences behind them and build the new Caledonia [after the vote].”
